95th Anniversary Special

Since its establishment in 1913, Macao Chamber of Commerce worked consistently for the economic stability and development of society. Today, the Chamber is one of most influential and strongest representative of the largest number of private industrial and commercial associations in Macao.

For the celebration of it’s 95th Anniversary, the Chamber organized a series of activities, which included: “Table tennis Tournament from 21-23, November 2007, “A Dinner Party for all Members of the Chamber” on 3 January 2008, “The 95th Anniversary Welcome Banquet” on 7 January 2008, “The 95th Anniversary Cocktail Reception” on 8 January 2008, where Chief Executive, Mr. Edmund Ho Hau Wah met the heads of the delegations, and finally “The 95th Anniversary Golf invitation Tournament” on 17 January, 2008.

Around 40 delegations with a total number of nearly 500 participants were present in the Chamber’s 95th Anniversary celebrations held in Macao. The delegates are mainly leaders of Chinese entrepreneurs associations from all over the world, representatives of CCPIT, members of the industry and commerce federations from mainland China, as well as from the industry and commerce associations of Hong Kong.

Delegates also attended banquets hosted by IPIM and Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture as part of the Chamber’s 95th Anniversary Celebrations.

Through these activities, relationships between the Chamber and Chinese entrepreneurs and organizations became closer. The participants learnt and were greatly impressed with the fact that Macao SAR’s economy is stable and that the city’s people are friendly and enthusiastic.

In the future, the Chamber will persevere with it’s objectives: to serve and unconditionally support Mainland China, act as co-ordinater for the various business sectors; stabilize uphold the development of the economy and strive for the wealth and prosperity Macao Chamber of Commerce of China.
